Growing up in Hampton, VA, I originally moved to Richmond to enter the Graphic Design program at VCU. My focus quickly shifted to Exercise Science when I fell deeper in love with fitness, body composition, and movement through my own training. I sought out my Personal Training Certification in 2011 after competing in a Figure competition, and landed my first training job at Golds Gym in The Fan. After gaining experience, I turned away from the corporate gym feel and geared my services towards smaller studios for more private, personalized training. Much personal and professional growth has happened since then, leading me to start my own brand at the beginning of 2019. In an effort to offer my clients a more private space for training during the height of COVID, opening my own gym quickly went from a dream to a reality in 2020.
So here we are...my name is Jordan - RVA's Personal Trainer and owner of CLUB NOEX.
I fell in love with the discipline that fitness demands. Struggling with ADHD and my identity growing up, the discipline & dedication of training gave me the direction I needed in my life. I had to plan if I wanted to reach my goals - no more going through the motions. I quickly learned that the control I was after started with my own body and deciding how I was going to treat it. And that mindset set me up for success in my daily life - all areas started to improve.
Self discipline is self love.
Being a Personal Trainer allows me to motivate people into becoming their best self. Because my own training changed my life, my goal every single day is to inspire that discipline onto others. With a lot of intimidating information out there on what to do and not do, it can leave people feeling helpless with no confidence to even begin. The programs I develop are about self love vs. an obligation - bettering your body should NEVER be seen as an obligation. My 'no excuses' training style comes from taking control of our choices, accepting responsibility, and doing the work to attain a healthier life.. If your back hurts from sitting all week at work, then it's time to stop complaining and start doing something about it. Whether your goal is lose weight, gain muscle, move better, or simply get an hour or two a week of "me time," I will guide you through the process of taking care of yourself.
I'm honored to be a part of my clients transformations and lives, and I can't wait to be a part of yours.
